Teofilo Presebal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Beltxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Roman Montez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danilo Xacintu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Raul Cordarell struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Teofilo Presebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Mitre. Raul Cordarell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teofilo Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Beltxe in the 21st minute of play. Teofilo Presebal came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Mitre's Raul Cordarell. But to his dismay, Raul Cordarell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Leandro Gabirel lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 29th minute, one of Villa Mitre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villa Mitre. The goalkeeper, Roman Montez, was totally fooled by Atletic Club Araucaria's Alvaro Milio, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Astor Shepherd charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astor Shepherd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roman Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Milio in the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Jonas Beltxe made a precise shot to the right of Teofilo Presebal. Atletic Club Araucaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Milio made a kick off. The supporters of Villa Mitre booed when Atletic Club Araucaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes Atletic Club Araucaria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Astor Shepherd who took care of the corner kick. In the 59th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Aurre to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Danilo Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, Roberto Goi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletic Club Araucaria and the Villa Mitre players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Atletic Club Araucaria got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Goi. Raul Cordarell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Teofilo Presebal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ezequiel Ixidor's late challenge caught a Villa Mitre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Ixidor helped the player get up and apologised. Teofilo Presebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Cordarell in the 85th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Villa Mitre:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletic Club Araucaria:s goal. Danilo Xacintu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. A hard shot by Leandro Jenaro from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Teofilo Presebal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Mitre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atletic Club Araucaria.
