Jairo Alonso was a little too slow when Baltasar Elazar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Evangelista was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Arturo Madaleno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Escocia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo AFC the free kick. Andres Leoncio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Andres Leoncio put in a rough tackle. Club Atlético Escocia made a substitution. Bartolo Ladio replaced Natalio Oliveiro. The Club Atlético Escocia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. In the 88th minute, Marcos Beturian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Alonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. Narciso Sauveur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jairo Alonso. Palermo AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Clodoveo Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
