After having played for 18 minutes, Severino Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Peli scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Teofilio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Severino Peli in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Astor Teofilio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Gaizkine made a kick off. Astor Teofilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Gaitan in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Mateo Gaitan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Astor Teofilio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto Petri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Astor Teofilio made a huge save. Isidoro Torres hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Ernesto Petri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Astor Teofilio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Hijos de Doña Beija reached it. The supporters of Los Hijos de Doña Beija booed when Club Atletico Lanus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Tanio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Bingen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Astor Teofilio made a huge save.
