The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Marut in the 9th minute of play forced MKS Legion Częstochowa's goalkeeper Gustaw Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Cezary Literski got a free kick in the 10th minute. POLONIA BYTOM's Hugon Bronder couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for MKS Legion Częstochowa. Ludomir Pietras hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Olgierd Trac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomil Starogardzki in the 20th minute of the match. Wasyl Dytrych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in POLONIA BYTOM's zone, Wasyl Dytrych stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olgierd Trac came out of the goal and Wasyl Dytrych tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wasyl Dytrych received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Olgierd Trac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olgierd Trac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Dytrych in the 31st minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Wasyl Dytrych mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MKS Legion Częstochowa and the POLONIA BYTOM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, MKS Legion Częstochowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wasyl Dytrych to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, MKS Legion Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Marut came free, but Gustaw Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaw Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Ochabski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of POLONIA BYTOM booed when MKS Legion Częstochowa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Dytrych didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Wasyl Dytrych fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Olgierd Trac moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. When Ignacy Jarosz fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored POLONIA BYTOM's protests and gave Ignacy Jarosz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to POLONIA BYTOM getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ignacy Jarosz hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Wasyl Dytrych made the kick off in the second half. Wasyl Dytrych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludomir Pietras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Olgierd Trac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Legion Częstochowa. After having played for 85 minutes, Ludomil Starogardzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MKS Legion Częstochowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomil Starogardzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olgierd Trac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Dytrych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the POLONIA BYTOM defense, Ludomir Pietras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olgierd Trac. The POLONIA BYTOM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgierd Trac should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Damian Marut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLONIA BYTOM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
