Ryszard Pyrtek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Red Army's Izydor Ludwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Bierfass in the 11th minute of play. Piotr Pleban charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Piotr Pleban the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Piotr Pleban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GORNIK PIASKI's Ryszard Pyrtek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save GORNIK PIASKI from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Smolarek in the 24th minute of play forced GORNIK PIASKI's goalkeeper Ryszard Pyrtek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Przemyslaw Okopny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryszard Pyrtek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Radomil Smolarek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ryszard Pyrtek. Radomil Smolarek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Izydor Ludwa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Rasialdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugeniusz Kochanowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ryszard Pyrtek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Witalis Rasialdo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Red Army getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Piotr Pleban hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes GORNIK PIASKI got a freekick which was hit by Kacper Przybylo. In the 46th minute of the match Piotr Pleban sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ryszard Pyrtek skillfully saved the ball. Izydor Ludwa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Rasialdo in the 47th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Red Army's goal looked a bit too open when Witalis Rasialdo came free, but Izydor Ludwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half GORNIK PIASKI were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Stefan Bierfass made the kick off in the second half. Stefan Bierfass's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Izydor Ludwa firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 56 minutes, Radomil Smolarek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Army's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Smolarek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 played minutes GORNIK PIASKI got a freekick which was hit by Witalis Rasialdo. In the 68th match minute, GORNIK PIASKI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Dobrzechowski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GORNIK PIASKI's Witalis Rasialdo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Stefan Bierfass hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Red Army fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Red Army's Radomil Smolarek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 82 minutes into the game, Jaroslaw Gabis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Army's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GORNIK PIASKI the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Red Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslaw Gabis to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Dobrzechowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 85th minute of the match Piotr Pleban completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Piotr Pleban a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Piotr Pleban kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Przemyslaw Okopny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Przemyslaw Okopny struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ryszard Pyrtek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Army. Przemyslaw Okopny took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ryszard Pyrtek. Ryszard Pyrtek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Red Army's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
