The supporters of MZ Wodzisław Śląski booed when INTER Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Skonieczny didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Zawada in the 6th minute of play forced INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Antoni Gniech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, MZ Wodzisław Śląski's goal looked a bit too open when Juliusz Dobilas came free, but Jan Solarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Antoni Gniech saved INTER Sosnowiec from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Boruc Szostak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZ Wodzisław Śląski and the INTER Sosnowiec players grew even worse after the yellow card. INTER Sosnowiec's Antoni Gniech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Zawada in the 76th minute of play. If Dariusz Andrychowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MZ Wodzisław Śląski's Eugeniusz Kaminski got a free kick in the 84th minute. Lech Luty might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Solarek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lech Luty ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafal Zawada hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded MZ Wodzisław Śląski left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than INTER Sosnowiec.
