Saco FC's Jannich Brolyng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Boutrup in the 13th minute of play. Teis Lisbygd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Baunbæk having to interfere. Jannich Brolyng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frede Holts in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Marcos Kunst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannich Brolyng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannich Brolyng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Kunst in the 27th minute of the match. Jannich Brolyng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frede Holts in the 30th minute of play. Saco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frede Holts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jannich Brolyng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Boutrup in the 45th minute of the match. Jannich Brolyng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Kunst, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half FC Nordsjælland were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Kunst to make the kick off. Jannich Brolyng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Boutrup in the 53rd minute of the match. With 55 minutes on the clock, Pierre Gurstov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Saco FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Nordsjælland:s goal. Jannich Brolyng had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Frede Holts's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. FC Nordsjælland's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vilmar Devolfe in the 59th minute. The corner ended in Vilmar Devolfe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Saco FC's Jannich Brolyng did a great save. After a rather tough play, FC Nordsjælland's Vilhelm Liep got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 63 minutes, Rune Bojel mouthed his way into the referee's book. Frede Holts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Jannich Brolyng made a huge save. In the 77th match minute, Saco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Binau to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Vilmar Devolfe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nordsjælland's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilmar Devolfe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannich Brolyng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Jannich Brolyng managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when FC Nordsjælland's Frede Holts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thorbjørn Engsholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Baunbæk having to interfere. After 81 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Bernhoft. Frede Holts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jannich Brolyng made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frede Holts came free, but Jannich Brolyng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jannich Brolyng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Boutrup, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of Saco FC booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Bernhoft didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jannich Brolyng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Kunst in the 97th minute. After 99 played minutes Saco FC got a freekick which was hit by Thorbjørn Engsholm. When the final whistle sounded FC Nordsjælland left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Saco FC.
