Ronald Straale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 25th minute Vaden Van Belleghem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Straale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronald Straale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Forlien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to 12 Monkeys getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Thorstein Presterud hit a great ball. If Sebastian Bisfort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Martin Gronild had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roald Frosell. 12 Monkeys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Gronild was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Thorstein Presterud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ronald Straale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Ejvin Birkholt made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, 12 Monkeys's Thorstein Presterud got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Martin Gronild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Roald Frosell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roald Frosell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ejvin Birkholt, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Vaden Van Belleghem managed to get in a good position for a shot. 12 Monkeys's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaden Van Belleghem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Straale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Vaden Van Belleghem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 12 Monkeys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Gronild in the 80th minute of play forced 12 Monkeys's goalkeeper Roald Frosell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boldklubben Skjold's Runar Bever got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of 12 Monkeys booed when Boldklubben Skjold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Bisfort didn't get a good kick on the ball.
