Valery Gurinovich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virginijus Geibūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. The supporters of Aleksotas FK booed when FORTALEZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patap Zinovik didn't get a good kick on the ball. FORTALEZA's attentive Stanislav Gerasimenko managed to snatch the ball when Agnius Vosylius made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. Ramūnas Morkūnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branislav Murashko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Aleksotas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Patap Zinovik came free, but Ramūnas Morkūnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramūnas Morkūnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Liahnovich in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Nester Kopylov. In the 16thth minute of the game Semen Sudarkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aleksotas FK's Ramūnas Morkūnas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnius Vosylius during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boris Liahnovich scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramūnas Morkūnas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramūnas Morkūnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semen Sudarkov in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Branislav Murashko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramūnas Morkūnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FORTALEZA's Valery Gurinovich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FORTALEZA from getting a goal against them. Virginijus Geibūnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valery Gurinovich having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Aleksotas FK got a freekick which was hit by Nojus Peleckas. 46 minutes into the match, FORTALEZA's Yaroslav Makarov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramūnas Morkūnas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Aleksotas FK's Ramūnas Morkūnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patap Zinovik in the 52nd minute of play. Aleksotas FK's Ramūnas Morkūnas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Aleksotas FK from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Boris Liahnovich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Branislav Murashko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ramūnas Morkūnas made a huge save. Aleksotas FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Boris Liahnovich scored to the left of an out of position Ramūnas Morkūnas, making the score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Branislav Murashko got free with Ramūnas Morkūnas in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patap Zinovik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramūnas Morkūnas came out and tried to block the shot, but Patap Zinovik slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 80th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Aleksotas FK's Tomas Dekanis made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valery Gurinovich was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over FORTALEZA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aleksotas FK throughout the match.
