With an all-out effort, Liechtenstein City's Martyn Baiseitov threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Reichlin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 9 played minutes Liechtenstein City got a freekick which was hit by Gökhan Erne. The supporters of Liechtenstein City booed when FC Caspiy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Domeiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Seyhan Brunner sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martyn Baiseitov skillfully saved the ball. Lorenzo Wanger kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Andrey Lisnyanskiy sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Liechtenstein City's Ralf Hamazic didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Filipp Debabov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Hamazic was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Martyn Baiseitov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Eusebius in the 24th minute of the match. Martyn Baiseitov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Reichlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Domeiko hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Seyhan Brunner sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Caspiy's Martyn Baiseitov didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Liechtenstein City's Raphael Alabor got a free kick in the 37th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gökhan Erne kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ralf Hamazic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipp Debabov, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Filipp Debabov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ralf Hamazic. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. Ralf Hamazic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipp Debabov in the 67th minute of play. Liechtenstein City's Ralf Hamazic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipp Debabov in the 75th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, FC Caspiy's Boris Nekrasov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralf Hamazic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gökhan Erne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liechtenstein City were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
