Hector Volakis came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Şamaxı Bankirlər's Şahin Bäylärov. But to his dismay, Şahin Bäylärov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Nessos Koulaxizis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unione Sportiva's protests and gave Nessos Koulaxizis a yellow card for diving instead. Hector Volakis came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Şamaxı Bankirlər's Şahin Bäylärov. But to his dismay, Şahin Bäylärov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Antonis Samios took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Péter Čech. Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Qarabulud Bağirov charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Qarabulud Bağirov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Qarabulud Bağirov got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Antonis Samios sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Péter Čech skillfully saved the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aqil Bağiyev was the one to do the kick off. During the 52nd minute of the match Nessos Koulaxizis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nessos Koulaxizis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 52nd match minute, Unione Sportiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nessos Koulaxizis to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Aqil Bağiyev notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis. Hector Volakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Unione Sportiva were furious when Lambros Kaloxylos was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 78 played minutes Unione Sportiva got a freekick which was hit by Lambros Kaloxylos. 79 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Hector Volakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şahin Bäylärov. A collision led to Şamaxı Bankirlər getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mahir Balişov hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Kaineus Georgousopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unione Sportiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaineus Georgousopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Péter Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Unione Sportiva from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Unione Sportiva's Kaineus Georgousopoulos got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Oileus Mavrostomos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis got control of the ball when Şahin Bäylärov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Loğman Hacibabayev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Hector Volakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hector Volakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aqil Bağiyev, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Şamaxı Bankirlər's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
