Vaggelis Kountouroudas hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simonas Bielinis in the 4th minute of play. Jogaila Palčiauskas was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Alkeides Touchakis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alkeides Touchakis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Odysseas Rousses charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odysseas Rousses the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Charalambos Christou was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Unione Sportiva's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Charalambos Christou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Unione Sportiva's Kaineus Georgousopoulos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kaineus Georgousopoulos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unione Sportiva protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kaineus Georgousopoulos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 19th minute, Kaineus Georgousopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Simonas Bielinis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis. Hector Volakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Savage Hippo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Feliksas Mickeliūnas hit a great ball. Unione Sportiva's Antonis Samios was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jogaila Palčiauskas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 31st minute, Germanas Ramanauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unione Sportiva's Antonis Samios shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jogaila Palčiauskas but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Savage Hippo's zone, Vaggelis Kountouroudas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jogaila Palčiauskas came out of the goal and Vaggelis Kountouroudas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jogaila Palčiauskas stood somewhat misplaced when Vaggelis Kountouroudas came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Jogaila Palčiauskas came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Unione Sportiva's Alkeides Touchakis. But to his dismay, Alkeides Touchakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odysseas Rousses in the 60th minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Jogaila Palčiauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Savage Hippo defense, Odysseas Rousses kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jogaila Palčiauskas. The Savage Hippo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jogaila Palčiauskas should have stopped the shot. Unione Sportiva's Alkeides Touchakis got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alkeides Touchakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unione Sportiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkeides Touchakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jogaila Palčiauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alkeides Touchakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Savage Hippo defense, Vaggelis Kountouroudas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jogaila Palčiauskas. The Savage Hippo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jogaila Palčiauskas should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odysseas Rousses in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jogaila Palčiauskas saved Savage Hippo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaidas Rakauskas in the 80th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Hector Volakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unione Sportiva's Hector Volakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaidas Rakauskas in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Alkeides Touchakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jogaila Palčiauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odysseas Rousses in the 94th minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Jogaila Palčiauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
