If Davit Beroshvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valiko Kamadadze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerkyon Kaloxylos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koios Papadelias during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, FC NATIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koios Papadelias to maneuver through the defense. Valiko Kamadadze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerkyon Kaloxylos in the 18th minute of play. Davit Beroshvili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aris Stasinopoulos having to interfere. Khristesia Cheishvili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davit Beroshvili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aris Stasinopoulos having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, FC NATIONAL's Marius Nicolae made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valiko Kamadadze was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th match minute, FC NATIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinekis Kiriakopoulos to maneuver through the defense. After 46 minutes, Dinekis Kiriakopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC NATIONAL and the Football Club Zestafoni players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinekis Kiriakopoulos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, FC NATIONAL's Dinekis Kiriakopoulos got a free kick in the 51st minute. Davit Beroshvili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dardanos Totolos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Aris Stasinopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davit Beroshvili in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademtos Demetrious in the 65th minute of play forced Football Club Zestafoni's goalkeeper Valiko Kamadadze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Davit Beroshvili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Football Club Zestafoni's supporters rose to their feet, but Davit Beroshvili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aris Stasinopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valiko Kamadadze was a little too slow when Marius Nicolae got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-2. When Torgva Sagharadze fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Football Club Zestafoni's protests and gave Torgva Sagharadze a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Football Club Zestafoni got a freekick which was hit by Torgva Sagharadze. Ademtos Demetrious's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valiko Kamadadze firmly grabbed it by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, FC NATIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Khristesia Cheishvili came free, but Aris Stasinopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davit Beroshvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valiko Kamadadze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademtos Demetrious, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Football Club Zestafoni manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC NATIONAL to win.
