Sotil Sanjuan was slow to take the kick. During this time JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Pavel Nedvěd almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Municipal's Basilio Munet did a great save. Ongile Arainz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Perfecto Tabernilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Municipal's Ongile Arainz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Perfecto Tabernilla. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Pete Conde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perfecto Tabernilla having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bakar Arriano during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bakar Arriano kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Basilio Munet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gorbea Machon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Atlético Municipal's Urtzi Megia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perfecto Tabernilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Pete Conde came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Atlético Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pete Conde couldn't finish the play. Hitzeder Dorronsoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Munet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montrelle Frexes, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a rather tough play, Atlético Municipal's Rosalio Padolles got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

51 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Basilio Munet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gorbea Machon. In the 54th minute, Hitzeder Dorronsoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes, Atlético Municipal's Jerano Contera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Perfecto Tabernilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Municipal reached it. Hitzeder Dorronsoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perfecto Tabernilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ongile Arainz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético Municipal.
