Everardo Alsua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Oporto, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Cesar Oporto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Everardo Alsua. Cesar Oporto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mariano Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th play minute Cesar Oporto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Everardo Alsua. 3-0. After 34 played minutes Sporting Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Irizar. Everardo Alsua made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cesar Oporto sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Alonso Najarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Alsua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everardo Alsua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Oporto in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Cesar Oporto took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Everardo Alsua to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Fidel Mondragon's late challenge caught a Sporting Cristal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Mondragon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ★ Lobos FC ★ getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Fidel Mondragon hit a great ball. There was no doubt that ★ Lobos FC ★ were the better team. ★ Lobos FC ★'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
