Club Olimpia's Haroldo Bocaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermes Pinilla in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Orlando Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Bocaran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Julio De Leon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Haroldo Bocaran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Brandao in the 38th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Gómez to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ defense, Sol Solano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milton Diaz. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milton Diaz should have stopped the shot. Haroldo Bocaran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardo Gómez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 57 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Olimpia's Dodorol Mendibuey got a free kick in the 61st minute. Haroldo Bocaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio De Leon in the 62nd minute of the match. Haroldo Bocaran came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Eduardo Gómez. But to his dismay, Eduardo Gómez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio De Leon in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haroldo Bocaran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 78 played minutes, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Heraclides Moreno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haroldo Bocaran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ reached it. 81 minutes into the match, Eduardo Gómez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haroldo Bocaran. Club Olimpia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Gómez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. Cordarrol Tama took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milton Diaz. Milton Diaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. When the match was over ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Olimpia throughout the match.
