The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th minute Juan Labarrita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitin Sañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Juan Labarrita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 28th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inguma Carbajo to maneuver through the defense. Hector-Luis Almandoz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitin Sañez. Sakura Storm's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Sakura Storm defense, Juan Labarrita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitin Sañez. The Sakura Storm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitin Sañez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baladi Vellana in the 36th minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Vitin Sañez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Teofilo Alcala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitin Sañez. Sakura Storm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Alcala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 41st minute Teofilo Alcala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitin Sañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Oriol Loaisa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sakura Storm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Popolizio FBC the free kick. After 41 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Oriol Loaisa. Juan Labarrita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Sotelo to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Lezarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pasqual Terrazas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Lop Alcantara made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Sakura Storm's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Velasco Urquiola fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Eduardo Lezarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lop Alcantara in the 61st minute of play. After 62 minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manny Gayangos who took care of the corner kick. Sakura Storm's Manny Gayangos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eduardo Lezarreta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vitin Sañez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Labarrita in the 64th minute. Vitin Sañez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Alcala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes of play, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Teofilo Alcala made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitin Sañez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pasqual Terrazas kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Lop Alcantara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lop Alcantara scored 1-7 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Lezarreta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Velasco Urquiola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vitin Sañez, passed just outside the right post. Baladi Vellana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Vitin Sañez made a huge save. Baladi Vellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitin Sañez having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Popolizio FBC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sakura Storm.
