Edwardo Ruete kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ponciano Bobis scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guillen Mijangos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillen Mijangos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponciano Bobis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Ponciano Bobis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillen Mijangos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidal Cantabrana in the 45th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Burutzagi Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Universitario players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CD Municipal were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vidal Cantabrana to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute of the match Edwardo Ruete sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Burutzagi Romero skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Telmo Castejon hit a great ball. Orlin Fornell kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Cerilo Lubiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillen Mijangos. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cerilo Lubiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
