When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lop Alcantara sped through Nova Soccer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vedillo Biosca. The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Lorden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswaldo Malla scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitin Sañez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vedillo Biosca was a little too slow when Lop Alcantara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-1. Vedillo Biosca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lop Alcantara in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rufio Cieza hit a great ball. With a little luck, Nova Soccer's Vedillo Biosca got control of the ball when Inguma Carbajo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Santio Cabello made a precise shot to the right of Vitin Sañez. Sakura Storm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 31 played minutes Nova Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Nesor Perdiz. Vedillo Biosca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pasqual Terrazas in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Lop Alcantara came free, but Vedillo Biosca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santio Cabello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitin Sañez having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Tom Misaki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sakura Storm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Soccer the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santio Cabello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Malla came free, but Vitin Sañez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Santio Cabello reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vitin Sañez. The goal made the score 2-3. 60 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Lop Alcantara came free, but Vedillo Biosca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Pasqual Terrazas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vedillo Biosca was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Dodorol Munibe's late challenge caught a Sakura Storm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dodorol Munibe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Dodorol Munibe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Lop Alcantara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 minutes of play, Sakura Storm's Pasqual Terrazas made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vedillo Biosca was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Lop Alcantara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vedillo Biosca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. In the 85th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oriol Loaisa to maneuver through the defense. Errando Gabriel hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Santio Cabello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vitin Sañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pasqual Terrazas struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Vedillo Biosca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sakura Storm. Sakura Storm's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
