The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sakura Storm reached it. Sakura Storm's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Karlo Gavilanes 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Sakura Storm's Lop Alcantara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillen Mijangos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Sakura Storm's Rufio Cieza got a free kick in the 24th minute. Vitin Sañez made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Vidal Cantabrana sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tom Misaki hit a great ball. Universitario's Vidal Cantabrana got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillen Mijangos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Errando Gabriel in the 35th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The tension between the Universitario and the Sakura Storm players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vidal Cantabrana hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Garcia Dalaje. Guillen Mijangos came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sakura Storm's Inguma Carbajo. But to his dismay, Inguma Carbajo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Universitario were furious when Garcia Dalaje was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Errando Gabriel shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 80th minute, Errando Gabriel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Lop Alcantara took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Guillen Mijangos to make any attempt to save it. Vitin Sañez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasto Tella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sakura Storm eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
