Eduardo Lezarreta guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Herrera in the 11th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Eduardo Lezarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Alcala during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teofilo Alcala hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Ricardo Arauz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Luis Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Eduardo Lezarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beto Escalona charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beto Escalona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC got a freekick which was hit by Beto Escalona. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Luchito De Leon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute of the match Cheito Arauz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Lezarreta skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan De Gracia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Ricardo Arauz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The coaching staff of Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ricardo Arauz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Popolizio FBC:s goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Herrera to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Deportivo Popolizio FBC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Chumo Edeon hit a great ball. Hector-Luis Almandoz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Popolizio FBC! Luis Herrera shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 62nd match minute, Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheito Arauz to maneuver through the defense. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Rigoberto Villalaz was substituted for Jonathan De Gracia. In the 63rdth minute of the game Rigoberto Redeño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Luchito De Leon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Luis Herrera hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Wiliam Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC made a substitution. David Mendieta replaced Christian Calderón. Salomone Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Eduardo Lezarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Herrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
