Buenaventura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomaso De Diego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arano Uncal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Buenaventura FC's Tomaso De Diego was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arano Uncal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Felipe Gil struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Arano Uncal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buenaventura FC. Sedeni Michel's late challenge caught a Buenaventura FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Orlando Morales rounded ALIANZA 1901's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Arano Uncal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Paredes went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Azeari Bengoechea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Azeari Bengoechea made a precise shot to the right of Joe Oberto. Buenaventura FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Arano Uncal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buenaventura FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ALIANZA 1901 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
