The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, Botello Bada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RamPa Football Club and the Buenaventura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xusto Uribe took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joe Oberto. Joe Oberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. RamPa Football Club's Eufrasio Cotera got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Franklin Smith got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 19 played minutes RamPa Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Neto Idalgo. Alejandro Lao hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xusto Uribe came free, but Joe Oberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joe Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xusto Uribe in the 46th minute of play. Joe Oberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xusto Uribe, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franklin Smith made a kick off. Lixandro Carbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toto Pinilla's late challenge caught a RamPa Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toto Pinilla helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Toto Pinilla hit a great ball. Buenaventura FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Eufrasio Cotera scored to the left of an out of position Joe Oberto, making the score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Alejandro Lao got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Rafael Posam hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, RamPa Football Club's Eufrasio Cotera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Alejandro Lao struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Lixandro Carbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buenaventura FC. Joe Oberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xusto Uribe in the 86th minute. After 93 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Gil. In the 95th match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Pinilla to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Neto Idalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over RamPa Football Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buenaventura FC throughout the match.
