Marcones Carabia kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, one of Caaguazu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Baiardo Combarros had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Santo Careaga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Baiardo Combarros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oihan Onis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oihan Onis in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baiardo Combarros saved Caaguazu from getting behind. Oihan Onis spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Caaguazu's goal. Caaguazu's Baiardo Combarros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oihan Onis in the 19th minute of play. Oihan Onis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santo Careaga to make the kick off. Santo Careaga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Baiardo Combarros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Programayin's Hermengildo Alcega managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valente Nieva in the 93 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quexal Pipa in the 94th minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Baiardo Combarros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Programayin played a much better game than Caaguazu and deserved their victory. The Caaguazu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
