In the 5thth minute of the game Manfred Ugalde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leyendas's Fortun Abadia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Leyendas defense, Manfred Ugalde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortun Abadia. The Leyendas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortun Abadia should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Manfred Ugalde notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Leyendas's Fortun Abadia. Fortun Abadia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fortun Abadia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfred Ugalde's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Ugalde in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fortun Abadia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonny Villafranca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herberto Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The long shot by Pudes Abendano in the 26th minute really tested Uriel Herrera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 31st minute, Jonny Villafranca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS La Libertad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herberto Sancho during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, CS La Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herberto Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Jonny Villafranca managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS La Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonny Villafranca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fortun Abadia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Manfred Ugalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Jonny Villafranca made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Leyendas's Fortun Abadia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manfred Ugalde might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fortun Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manfred Ugalde ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half CS La Libertad were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Manfred Ugalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fortun Abadia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortun Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Ugalde, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Manfred Ugalde in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fortun Abadia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Leyendas's Fortun Abadia got control of the ball when Manfred Ugalde tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Leyendas getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sabino Abastas hit a great ball. Fortun Abadia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wilmer Murillo. Manfred Ugalde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Fortun Abadia made a huge save. Fortun Abadia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Ugalde in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Leyendas's goal looked a bit too open when Reiner Luna came free, but Fortun Abadia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Manfred Ugalde made a precise shot to the right of Fortun Abadia. Leyendas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fortun Abadia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Leyendas's zone, Manfred Ugalde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortun Abadia came out of the goal and Manfred Ugalde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When CS La Libertad's Manfred Ugalde in 90 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Fortun Abadia guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. CS La Libertad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
