The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Goncalve Villaraud during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silvestre Abancens came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by CERRO PORTEÑO's Urti Rancaño. But to his dismay, Urti Rancaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Goncalve Villaraud lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 18 minutes into the game, one of CERRO PORTEÑO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Inacio Abaunza fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Chupeño's protests and gave Inacio Abaunza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sportivo Chupeño getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Inacio Abaunza hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Moyua came free, but Silvestre Abancens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Tadeu Moyua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 42 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Moyua came free, but Silvestre Abancens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Enekoitz Abadia came free, but Urbes Perdiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeu Moyua took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Abancens. Silvestre Abancens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

The wind increased when Ariando Abeijon made the kick off in the second half. Urti Rancaño hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Urti Rancaño dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvestre Abancens, 1-7. CERRO PORTEÑO's Urbes Perdiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vedillo Abeijon in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Mingo Abendano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Chupeño's goalkeeper Silvestre Abancens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvestre Abancens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orti Matos in the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Sportivo Chupeño booed when CERRO PORTEÑO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xurxo Bastida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Urti Rancaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orti Matos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvestre Abancens came out and tried to block the shot, but Orti Matos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tadeu Moyua kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CERRO PORTEÑO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
