The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Dely showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Astor Sobrido in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Dely prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perpinya Nevares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Morales, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes CERRO PORTEÑO got a freekick which was hit by Heli Hontoria. Perpinya Nevares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Espino in the 41st minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hitz Valiente was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO booed when Frente Revolucionario F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Arauz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Orti Matos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 69 played minutes CERRO PORTEÑO got a freekick which was hit by Orti Matos. Perpinya Nevares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexis Morales went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Andres Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute, Francesco Orozco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frente Revolucionario F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
