After some careless play in the El Pulpo Paceño defense, Ricardo Mora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Argoitz Abellaneda. The El Pulpo Paceño fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Argoitz Abellaneda should have stopped the shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Alvarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Argoitz Abellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes El Pulpo Paceño got a freekick which was hit by Vachon Aballe. GuateFortín's Juan Manuel Martínez got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Alvarez got free with Argoitz Abellaneda in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Mora might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argoitz Abellaneda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Mora ran back to his position shaking his head. After 36 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Alvarez. Argoitz Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Manuel Martínez in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Maurício Pellegrino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Mora to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Ricardo Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Valenzuela lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jorge Valenzuela hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Abad in the 59th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper German Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Abascal, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Abad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Montoya was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. GuateFortín's German Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Abad in the 78th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of GuateFortín:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Pulpo Paceño:s goal. Ricardo Mora struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Argoitz Abellaneda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GuateFortín. In the 90th minute, Ricardo Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Toledano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ricardo Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Mora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Argoitz Abellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Pulpo Paceño players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GuateFortín.
