Riemannian's Eutropio Toxeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Riemannian from getting a goal against them. Eutropio Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvino Ribas in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Spartak de Txurdi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Novo to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Riemannian's goal looked a bit too open when Osoro Amorebieta came free, but Eutropio Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Beloki did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Eutropio Toxeiro 33 minutes into the match. George Beloki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Eutropio Toxeiro made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Macedonio Sainz got free with Eutropio Toxeiro in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Osoro Amorebieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Solana to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Spartak de Txurdi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arcadio Paredes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Riemannian booed when Spartak de Txurdi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osoro Amorebieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eutropio Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Beloki in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, George Beloki made a precise shot to the right of Eutropio Toxeiro. Riemannian's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Segundo Sauca kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ovidio Macho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. George Beloki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eutropio Toxeiro came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Spartak de Txurdi's Osoro Amorebieta. But to his dismay, Osoro Amorebieta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. George Beloki took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eutropio Toxeiro. Eutropio Toxeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 87 minutes in the game Ovidio Macho got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Spartak de Txurdi's zone, Prospero Solana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xesus Jurado came out of the goal and Prospero Solana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Beloki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spartak de Txurdi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riemannian had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
