PERSPOLIS's Manolo Ucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Mangas in the 8th minute of play. Víctor Olmos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Isidoro Mangas in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manolo Ucero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th minute of the match, Isidoro Mangas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manolo Ucero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Zapater in the 14th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Manolo Ucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Mangas in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolo Ucero saved PERSPOLIS from getting behind. When Isidoro Mangas in the 25th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Manolo Ucero kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Víctor Olmos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xuaco Otero to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Gentza Harroyo. Manolo Ucero was a little too slow when Tristan Zapater got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. The supporters of VILLARREAL UNITED booed when PERSPOLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víctor Olmos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered loudly when Tristan Zapater's long shot in the 47th minute became 4-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Manolo Ucero. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Delgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Mangas scored 5-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manolo Ucero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Jose-Juan Nunez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tristan Zapater took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manolo Ucero. PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. PERSPOLIS's Manolo Ucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Mangas in the 60th minute of play. Benat Castelao hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in PERSPOLIS's zone, Indartsu Radaban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolo Ucero came out of the goal and Indartsu Radaban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tristan Zapater succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. 81 minutes into the game, Tristan Zapater cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Manolo Ucero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manolo Ucero came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLARREAL UNITED's Isidoro Mangas. But to his dismay, Isidoro Mangas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Espartaco Castellano hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Tristan Zapater ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manolo Ucero was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VILLARREAL UNITED fully deserved thier win.
