In the 5th minute, Andy Carels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Floris Hoving was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jan Reints showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Kooij, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Job Wilhelm in the 14th minute of play forced De hijgende Hertjes's goalkeeper Floris Hoving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SCs StarS's Jan Reints proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save SCs StarS from getting a goal against them. In the 20th match minute, SCs StarS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Wilson to maneuver through the defense. Jan Reints showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Kooij in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Andy Carels got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when SCs StarS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Job Wilhelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Floris Hoving showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfred Deuring in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfred Deuring in the 36th minute of play forced De hijgende Hertjes's goalkeeper Floris Hoving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Floris Hoving showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Job Wilhelm in the 37th minute of the match. Wachirapong Pobedimskiy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, one of De hijgende Hertjes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for De hijgende Hertjes. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for SCs StarS. Sebastiaan Hofland stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Floris Hoving. 0-2. Dimitrie Iepmann kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, SCs StarS's Wilfred Deuring nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Floris Hoving made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Carels made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, De hijgende Hertjes's Carsten Zoetebier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Reints made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Floris Hoving showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Job Wilhelm, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, De hijgende Hertjes's Floris Hoving got control of the ball when Wilfred Deuring tried to sneak it across the goal line. Floris Hoving was a little too slow when Job Wilhelm got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-5. With a little luck, De hijgende Hertjes's Floris Hoving got control of the ball when Wilfred Deuring tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dimitrie Iepmann came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the De hijgende Hertjes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitrie Iepmann couldn't finish the play. Floris Hoving was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Job Wilhelm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. De hijgende Hertjes's Floris Hoving played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Carels in the 96th minute of play. When Marcel Lammers fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De hijgende Hertjes's protests and gave Marcel Lammers a yellow card for diving instead. Floris Hoving was a little too slow when Andy Carels got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 1-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SCs StarS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
