The referee ignored Heineken Youths's protests and gave Laurens Riemers a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Laurens Riemers got a free kick in the 9th minute. Johan Daelemans hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Marcel Vrieling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andy Zoetmulder succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ryan Dirks hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Andy Zoetmulder put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bertus van Dongen. After 31 minutes, Joost Hofman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heineken Youths and the Mosk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Joost Hofman got a free kick in the 31st minute. Bertus van Dongen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Dirks in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Zoetmulder in the 34th minute of play forced Mosk's goalkeeper Bertus van Dongen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35th play minutes Sipke Hardering shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Geert Arend de Hoop and just under the crossbar into goal. Andy Zoetmulder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertus van Dongen having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Andy Zoetmulder notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Mosk's Bertus van Dongen. Bertus van Dongen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mosk's Gerwin Schrage was substituted for Ernest Hoogendorp. Mosk made a substitution. Klaas de Hoop replaced Pascal Robbermond. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryan Dirks to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Heineken Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Zoetmulder to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes, Mosk's Karel van Zwieten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geert Arend de Hoop came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mosk reached it. Remco Schild charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remco Schild the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcel Vrieling struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Geert Arend de Hoop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mosk. With a little luck, Mosk's Bertus van Dongen got control of the ball when Andy Zoetmulder tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Heineken Youths defense, Marcel Vrieling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geert Arend de Hoop. The Heineken Youths fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geert Arend de Hoop should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute Marcel Vrieling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geert Arend de Hoop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Remco Schild was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Remco Schild hit a great ball. Andy Zoetmulder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bertus van Dongen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sipke Hardering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heineken Youths succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mosk had controlled the match.
