Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arjen Rodenboog took the kick off in the first half of the match. Buitenhout FC's Toni Schoonderwoerd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Talsma in the 5th minute of play. Ralf Talsma scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toni Schoonderwoerd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arjen Rodenboog who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Jan-Joost Smeekes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 13th minute of the match Floris Stühling sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toni Schoonderwoerd skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Stef Pragt got a free kick in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arjen Rodenboog during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 minutes, Roel van Zalingen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buitenhout FC and the Seagulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roel van Zalingen hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Seagulls's Carsten Klaasens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toni Schoonderwoerd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Arnold Dijkman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buitenhout FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seagulls the free kick. Huub Erenstein charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Huub Erenstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Huub Erenstein hit a great ball. Toni Schoonderwoerd came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Seagulls's Carsten Klaasens. But to his dismay, Carsten Klaasens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 32 minutes, Herman Sparnaaij mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buitenhout FC and the Seagulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the match, Roger Popken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toni Schoonderwoerd. Buitenhout FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Popken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 46 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carsten Klaasens came free, but Toni Schoonderwoerd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Carsten Klaasens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toni Schoonderwoerd. Buitenhout FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carsten Klaasens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Seagulls's Bill Dol was substituted for Ralf Talsma. Seagulls's Pieter Sijmonds was substituted for Stef Pragt. After the first half Seagulls were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bill Dol was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Buitenhout FC got a freekick which was hit by Huub Erenstein. Buitenhout FC:s Toni Schoonderwoerd showed great skill when he stopped Carsten Klaasens:s penalty. Toni Schoonderwoerd was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Bill Dol capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bill Dol really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Seagulls made a substitution. Meindert Popping replaced Martin Andriessen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Rodenboog in the 79th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meindert Popping hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Roger Popken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Toni Schoonderwoerd made a huge save. Arjen Rodenboog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 100th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seagulls's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
