Buitenhout FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arjen Rodenboog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurice Sybring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjen Rodenboog, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Huub Erenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Schoonderwoerd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berend Tigelaar in the 17th minute. Toni Schoonderwoerd was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jelle Jonge. In the 35th minute Huub Erenstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Sybring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Buitenhout FC booed when SV Balverliefd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Verbeek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Appeldoorn hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. SV Balverliefd's Maurice Sybring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen Rodenboog in the 40th minute of play. Berend Tigelaar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Toni Schoonderwoerd made a huge save. In the 44th match minute, Buitenhout FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huub Erenstein to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thomas Lute hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Arjen Rodenboog charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arjen Rodenboog the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Folker Schreuder scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toni Schoonderwoerd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lukas Heeringa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Toni Schoonderwoerd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper Maurice Sybring had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huub Erenstein. When Harald Kuypers fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buitenhout FC's protests and gave Harald Kuypers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Harald Kuypers hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buitenhout FC's zone, Steve Verbeek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toni Schoonderwoerd came out of the goal and Steve Verbeek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Buitenhout FC's Heiko Need got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Roland Ritsma put in a rough tackle. A collision led to SV Balverliefd getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Roland Ritsma hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Buitenhout FC's Jacobus Siemers in action when he in the 82nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 87th minute, Buitenhout FC's Arjen Rodenboog ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurice Sybring. Maurice Sybring yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 91st minute Heiko Need shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Sybring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play Buitenhout FC's Heiko Need was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Heiko Need hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SV Balverliefd had won after a very even match.
