In the 5th minute, Heiko Need hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacco Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Fernando Waterreus made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arjen Rodenboog was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roel van Zalingen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Arjen Rodenboog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Waterreus in the 16th minute of the match. Naci Ünüvar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Need in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Bart Fikkers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arjen Rodenboog. Buitenhout FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bart Fikkers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fernando Waterreus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Wilfred Adelaar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buitenhout FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Potentia the free kick. When Berend Alkema fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buitenhout FC's protests and gave Berend Alkema a yellow card for diving instead. Arjen Rodenboog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Waterreus in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wilfred Adelaar hit a great ball. Naci Ünüvar made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Willem Oosterman sent off a good shot on target. Naci Ünüvar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Need in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Heiko Need shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naci Ünüvar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.C. Potentia's Naci Ünüvar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Need in the 46th minute of play. If Jaap Borgman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willem Oosterman made a kick off. Naci Ünüvar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Sparnaaij, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roel van Zalingen during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roel van Zalingen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Willem Oosterman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naci Ünüvar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naci Ünüvar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaap Borgman in the 70th minute of the match. With a little luck, Buitenhout FC's Arjen Rodenboog got control of the ball when Bart Fikkers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Tamminga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 73rd playminute. Herman Sparnaaij hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Harry Tamminga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen Rodenboog having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Buitenhout FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Randag to maneuver through the defense. Vincent Veenema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Sparnaaij in the 82nd minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Naci Ünüvar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jaap Borgman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naci Ünüvar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willem Oosterman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The S.C. Potentia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
