Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Willem Oosterman started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Buitenhout FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert de Vlieger to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Ferdi Merenga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arjen Rodenboog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the game, Yorrick Zwaanswijk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albertus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buitenhout FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Yorrick Zwaanswijk. In the 11th minute, Gert Hebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Ottens in the 14th minute of play forced Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Arjen Rodenboog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Hubert Ottens put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arjen Rodenboog. If Daniël Zomer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frits Platvoet hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Yorrick Zwaanswijk. 28 minutes into the game, Willem Oosterman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ger Tollenaar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, Frits Platvoet notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Buitenhout FC's Arjen Rodenboog. Arjen Rodenboog was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ger Tollenaar came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Buitenhout FC's Willem Oosterman. But to his dismay, Willem Oosterman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniël Zomer was the one to do the kick off. When Arnold Dijkman fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buitenhout FC's protests and gave Arnold Dijkman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, one of Buitenhout FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buitenhout FC. 2-4 came through a penalty shot after 52 played minutes, when Albertus FC:s Edgard Schiphouwer calmly waited for Buitenhout FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Ger Tollenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willem Oosterman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Buitenhout FC's Arjen Rodenboog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Buitenhout FC from getting a goal against them. If Stijn Bijlsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertus FC made a substitution. Olaf Pool replaced Stijn Bijlsma. Hubert Ottens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Arjen Rodenboog when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Buitenhout FC booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Ottens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arjen Rodenboog was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Frits Platvoet capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frits Platvoet really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. In the 77th match minute, Buitenhout FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Dijkman to maneuver through the defense. Albertus FC's Antoon Ponk got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antoon Ponk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Roel van Zalingen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buitenhout FC and the Albertus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Frits Platvoet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arjen Rodenboog was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. If Antoon Ponk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buitenhout FC's Arjen Rodenboog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Buitenhout FC from getting a goal against them.
