After 4 minutes of play, FFC Merainies 03's René van Hintum made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Sibon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nico-Jan Roeles kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Jan Sibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Willemse in the 17th minute of play. Jan Sibon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Deinse in the 19th minute of the match. René van Hintum took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Sibon. Jan Sibon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nigel Willemse's late challenge caught a De Ontembare Leeuwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nigel Willemse helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Willemse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerrie Höhenstein hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Nigel Willemse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Sibon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 35th minute, Nigel Willemse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FFC Merainies 03 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Jan Sibon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Willemse in the 38th minute of play. When Mitchell Terpstra fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Ontembare Leeuwen's protests and gave Mitchell Terpstra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, De Ontembare Leeuwen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitchell Terpstra to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the De Ontembare Leeuwen defense, Nigel Willemse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Sibon. The De Ontembare Leeuwen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Sibon should have stopped the shot. After the first half FFC Merainies 03 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nigel Willemse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Rinus Ronde got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when De Ontembare Leeuwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitchell Terpstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elco Mulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrie Höhenstein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Sibon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Jan Sibon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronny Deinse went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Nigel Willemse's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jan Sibon firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. René van Hintum didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koos Staal in the 93rd minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Fabrice Bemmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
