Bernard Mülder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hans-Cees Nagel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiaan Wilson in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Sjef Klein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Cees Nagel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiaan Wilson got free with Hans-Cees Nagel in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the ASC Amsterdam defense, Sjef Klein kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans-Cees Nagel. The ASC Amsterdam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans-Cees Nagel should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefano Zijden in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans-Cees Nagel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ASC Amsterdam's Hans-Cees Nagel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save ASC Amsterdam from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, ASC Amsterdam's goal looked a bit too open when Stefano Zijden came free, but Hans-Cees Nagel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De Kasteelheren's Mathieu Onrust got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Mathieu Onrust off the ground. Hans-Cees Nagel came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by De Kasteelheren's Christiaan Wilson. But to his dismay, Christiaan Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. De Kasteelheren walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
