Decathlon Dudes's Gerrit Kemper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demy Krommert in the 19th minute of play. After 28 played minutes MK Investments got a freekick which was hit by Mark Appeldoorn. MK Investments's Kelvin Overmars proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save MK Investments from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Felix Janus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Wesley van Rhijn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decathlon Dudes's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley van Rhijn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kelvin Overmars breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Felix Janus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kelvin Overmars was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Alex Deinse struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kelvin Overmars didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Decathlon Dudes. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Deinse was the one to do the kick off. The Decathlon Dudes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Deinse in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kelvin Overmars saved MK Investments from getting behind. Kelvin Overmars took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Janus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Alex Deinse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kelvin Overmars was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kelvin Overmars showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Deinse, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Felix Janus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelvin Overmars having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Decathlon Dudes had played much better football throughout.
