In the 5th match minute, Grêmio Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson de Barros to maneuver through the defense. AF CERRADO's Pedro Cearense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grêmio Bulls. Fausto Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gil Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Eliseu Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Virgílio da Rocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Eliseu Senna came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the AF CERRADO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Senna couldn't finish the play. Virgílio da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Senna in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's Magno Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Gil Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Cerezo. The audience was convinced that Lino Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgílio da Rocha was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Gil Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Cerezo. Grêmio Bulls's Virgílio da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Araújo in the 45th minute of play.

52 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Cerezo came free, but Gil Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Bulls's zone, Lino Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgílio da Rocha came out of the goal and Lino Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Miranda in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Araújo in the 67th minute of play forced Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Virgílio da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Bulls's Zé Augusto de Mendonça got a free kick in the 68th minute. Magno Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gil Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio da Rocha made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Lino Araújo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Magno Marinho hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, AF CERRADO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
