Nestor Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Correia in the 12th minute of play. Zé Carlos de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ulisses Toledo made a huge save. Ricardinho Correia hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Independente FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Anderbye FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Gonçalves took the corner. The corner led Independente FC's Gilberto Gonçalves to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulisses Toledo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Anderbye FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonas Esteves hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ulisses Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Barral. Zé Carlos de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ulisses Toledo made a huge save. Ezequiel Barral struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ulisses Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independente FC. Zé Carlos de Azevedos short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Ulisses Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee gave Ricardinho Correia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 38th match minute, Anderbye FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Correia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 40th minute of play forced Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ulisses Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independente FC's Gilberto Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Carlos de Azevedo made a kick off. Zé Carlos de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ulisses Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independente FC. José Vítor Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Carlos de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Zé Carlos de Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anderbye FC's Ulisses Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benedito Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulisses Toledo. Anderbye FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Independente FC's Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anderbye FC's goalie prevented a goal.
