Genílson de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Waldemar Camargo's late challenge caught a Icoara Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar Camargo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's Waldemar Camargo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Caetano Monteiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Waldemar Camargo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 20th minute Luizão Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armandinho Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Luizão Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icoara Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizão Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caetano Monteiro was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Waldemar Camargo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldemar Camargo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Armandinho Mattos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrício Rosa went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 45th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Lima to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's Dino Soeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Luizão Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Oswaldo Gonçalves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wakanda fv FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Camargo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizão Paraíba got free with Armandinho Mattos in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genílson de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Waldemar Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Queirós lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 74 minutes into the game, one of Wakanda fv FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valdo Lima looked a bit shakey when he was getting ready the shot and it wasn't a great penalty kick. An easy save for Armandinho Mattos. Valdo Lima took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armandinho Mattos. Armandinho Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After 79 minutes, Carlinhos Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Wakanda fv FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Carlinhos Negri got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Waldemar Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wakanda fv FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severino Santo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Caetano Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakanda fv FSCMZ. After 90 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Ferreira. In the 96th minute, Genílson de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armandinho Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Wakanda fv FSCMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
