Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Rosa came free, but Armandinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Santo in the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Camargo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fabrício Rosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 25th match minute, Wakanda fv FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Santo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Camargo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Caetano Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34thth minute of the game Waldemar Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Waldemar Camargo made a precise shot to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Waldemar Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Wakanda fv FSCMZ's Waldemar Camargo. But to his dismay, Waldemar Camargo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Wakanda fv FSCMZ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldemar Camargo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldemar Camargo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Lucas in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armandinho Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Santo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's Severino Santo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Reginaldo Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Gonçalves got free with Caetano Monteiro in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armandinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Lucas in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Egídio Lucas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Icoara Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
