Dalmo Bertassi took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Pereira. Oscar Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Matías de Moraes got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute of the match, Gustavo Santos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oscar Pereira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Vivaldo Sousa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vivaldo Sousa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of S.C. Corinthians Paulista protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vivaldo Sousa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 17th minute, one of S.C. Corinthians Paulista:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.C. Corinthians Paulista. In the 46th minute Tiaguinho Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Frederico Tasso hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matías de Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaime Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Pereira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Paes came free, but Oscar Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Tiaguinho Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Tiaguinho Zonta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. That made the score 2-2 after 76 minutes of play. When Zézinho da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's protests and gave Zézinho da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ulisses Campidelis was substituted for Matías de Moraes. After a rather tough play, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Zézinho da Cunha got a free kick in the 81st minute. Oscar Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Campidelis in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulisses Campidelis in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Pereira saved Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร from getting behind. Oscar Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ulisses Campidelis in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalie prevented a goal. The Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented S.C. Corinthians Paulista from taking control.
