The referee ignored Scarlet Speedster's protests and gave Naldo de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Ronaldão Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías de Moraes. Corinthians Paulista's Diego da Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Scarlet Speedster's Osmar Simão. But to his dismay, Osmar Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 93rd minute, Kléber Quirino made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After 96 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Quirino. After 97 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Diego da Cunha. There was no doubt that Scarlet Speedster were the better team. Scarlet Speedster's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
