A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alan Moreira hit a great ball. When Gil Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Geovanni Botelho hit a great ball. Elder Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moreira. 29 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Hoffmann came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Elder Lago managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Agua Santa's Laércio Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nico Quintal hit a great ball. Elder Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laércio Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Elder Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sidnei Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Elder Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Fernandes in the 55th minute of play. Elder Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Elder Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 65th minute of play. Jânio Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jânio Arantes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Agua Santa's Pedro Luís Arantes was substituted for Murilo Fernandes. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jânio Arantes hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laércio Neves in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elder Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 77th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Washington Meira. In the 83rd minute of the match Alan Moreira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elder Lago skillfully saved the ball. Elder Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Neves in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Queirós.
