Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Reginaldo Pinho made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Isaltino Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Fonseca during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Se7e getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Arlindo Loureiro hit a great ball. Thomás Sarmento came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Se7e's Romário Souto. But to his dismay, Romário Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reginaldo Pinho in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Andrade in the 16th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Thomás Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Se7e was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Romário Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes of play Se7e's Jorginho Fonseca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 23 played minutes Se7e got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Fonseca. 29 minutes into the match, João Magalhães notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Batalhão do Peçanha's Thomás Sarmento. Thomás Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, João Magalhães put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Thomás Sarmento. After the first half Se7e were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romário Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomás Sarmento was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Romário Souto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romário Souto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Thomás Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Gernando Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Romário Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Se7e's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomás Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 played minutes Se7e got a freekick which was hit by Lino Andrade. When Felippe Machado fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Se7e's protests and gave Felippe Machado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Se7e getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Felippe Machado hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Romário Souto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thomás Sarmento, 1-5. Thomás Sarmento made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lino Andrade sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Se7e's Romário Souto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomás Sarmento. That made the score 1-8 after 77 minutes of play. After 81 played minutes, Batalhão do Peçanha's Alfredinho Favoretto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Novaes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batalhão do Peçanha reached it. João Magalhãess short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Thomás Sarmento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Batalhão do Peçanha getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alfredinho Favoretto hit a great ball. Thomás Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Lino Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Felippe Machado was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. When Isaltino Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Batalhão do Peçanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Mesquita couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Se7e's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Pinho came free, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Batalhão do Peçanha's César da Rocha got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arlindo Loureiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomás Sarmento. Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Pinho in the 98th minute of play. The Se7e supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Se7e would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
