Afonsinho Munhoz scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rômulo de Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rômulo de Barros came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Afonsinho Munhoz. But to his dismay, Afonsinho Munhoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. US DI BESTI FC's Rômulo de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho Munhoz in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Munhoz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of US DI BESTI FC's Rômulo de Barros. Rômulo de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when US DI BESTI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Anísio Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the US DI BESTI FC and the Joinville United - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes US DI BESTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Barbosa. When Afonsinho Munhoz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Joinville United - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonsinho Munhoz couldn't finish the play. Zeca Pena's late challenge caught a Joinville United - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeca Pena helped the player get up and apologised. Zeca Pena hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes, Afonsinho Munhoz made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. US DI BESTI FC's Rômulo de Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 39 minutes, Afonsinho Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonsinho Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Munhoz notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of US DI BESTI FC's Rômulo de Barros. Rômulo de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hudson Esteves was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in US DI BESTI FC's zone, Serafim Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo de Barros came out of the goal and Serafim Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes US DI BESTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Nascimento. With an all-out effort, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Rômulo de Barros threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Afonsinho Munhoz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonsinho Munhoz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo de Barros saved US DI BESTI FC from getting behind. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind US DI BESTI FC's goalkeeper Rômulo de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Robinho da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonsinho Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when US DI BESTI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonsinho Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo de Barros having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinaldo Barral got free with Rômulo de Barros in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Afonsinho Munhoz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rômulo de Barros was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Anísio Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, US DI BESTI FC's goalkeeper Rômulo de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Barral. Rômulo de Barros made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Afonsinho Munhoz sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th match minute, US DI BESTI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Pena to maneuver through the defense. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Afonsinho Munhoz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Afonsinho Munhoz sped through US DI BESTI FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rômulo de Barros. Joinville United - FSCMZ played a much better game than US DI BESTI FC and deserved their victory. The US DI BESTI FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
