Rômulo de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute Reinaldo Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Joinville United - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Reinaldo Barral hit a great ball. Rômulo de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Munhoz in the 10th minute of play. After 17th play minutes Afonsinho Munhoz shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Rômulo de Barros and just under the crossbar into goal. Serafim Paraíba took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rômulo de Barros. Rômulo de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 26th minute, Afonsinho Munhoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rômulo de Barros. The goal made the score 3-0. Cauan Arce came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by US DI BESTI FC's Ramiro Leite. But to his dismay, Ramiro Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to US DI BESTI FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Robinho da Silveira hit a great ball. When Afonsinho Munhoz came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Joinville United - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonsinho Munhoz couldn't finish the play. Afonsinho Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. US DI BESTI FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Afonsinho Munhoz 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonsinho Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Afonsinho Munhoz succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-1. A collision led to US DI BESTI FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ramiro Leite hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Afonsinho Munhoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo de Barros was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Joinville United - FSCMZ's Afonsinho Munhoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rômulo de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonsinho Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Sílvio Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of US DI BESTI FC booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hudson Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Rômulo de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonsinho Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Breno Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Joinville United - FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
