Márcio Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Artur Mineiro put in a rough tackle. New Miran FC:s Márcio Mendes showed great skill when he stopped Germano Domingues:s penalty. Germano Domingues did an outstanding performance 23 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-0 to the right of an irritated Márcio Mendes in the goal. Leopoldo Andrade hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Geovani Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Mendes having to interfere. Joélson Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Márcio Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Miran FC's Márcio Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save New Miran FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válter Mazza was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Joélson Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Joélson Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Márcio Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Donatello in the 55th minute of play. Márcio Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joélson Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Germano Domingues went to the cornerflag to take it. Falcão Nóbrega made a great header on Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's corner, it was just that New Miran FC's Márcio Mendes managed to reach the ball for a save. New Miran FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joélson Donatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 93 minutes of play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Joélson Donatello made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Márcio Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fully deserved thier win.
